Wow I have to share this, the announcer is spewing a lot of crap about a "true" cowboy. A True Cowboy doesn't do this to his animals. wow check out the vid this happened July 24th. This horse died. This is not the first horse to die or go to slaughter over injuries. This abuse must stop horses were not raised to die like this.

Cheyenne Frontier Days is one of the worlds largest outdoor western rodeos. This Rodeo takes place annually in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This rodeo has been in operation since 1987. Rodeos sound cool, look fun and are for entertainment, but the truth is they harbor abuse.
When I was younger I loved watching rodeos I used to love watching the bull rider fall off the bull or bucking horse. As I have aged I have realized how abusive rodeos are. This abuse must be stopped. In order to stop rodeo abuse we as individuals need to bring awareness to others about rodeo abuse. To stop rodeo abuse we must start with the largest rodeo facility and that facility is Cheyenne Frontier Days.
Here are two videos illustrating past and this years abuse at Cheyenne Frontier Days; I also want to thank the organization SHARK for posting these videos and bringing awareness to this abuse. Videos below:
The next video is one of the most recent:
I decided to use this calf in the second video ( trust me there are worse vids) because it illustrates the man roping the calf knew the calf was injured the second he walked up to the calf. Having hearing and seeing the injured calf he still tied the calf up instead of stopping and getting help for the calf. Also in most rodeo's it is banned to flick/jerk down the rope so it flips the calf, like the man in this video did.I personally have been around and have taken care of farm animals. So I know anyone who works with these animals everyday can spot injuries or tell if the animal is hurt pretty quickly. I knew from watching the video the second the calf hit the ground he was injured, so Cheyenne Frontier Days can't say how could the contestant know.
This Rodeo makes me feel as if we as a species have lost our compassion for living things. We must put an end to this abuse.
Contact Cheyenne Frontier Days, tell them you are not happy with their actions towards animals. You can contact them here:Headquarters: (307) 778-7200 Fax: (307) 778-7213
Here is their web page.
Click here to view sponsors; Here are the sponsors to the events below:
Contact those sponsors and tell them to stop supporting animal abuse. Another way to go about this is to also not just boycott rodeos but to boycott the sponsors of this Rodeo. The more people learn about this abuse the quicker we can stop these sad things from happening.
Also visit SHARK to learn more on how you can help stop this abuse. Please support their page!
