Geologist James Coleman, who works for the U.S. Geological Survey, says fracking can create quakes, but not those as large as the one in Virginia.“It’s pretty clear that in some areas, underground injection of wastewater causes relatively small earthquakes, smaller than what we had here in Virginia, but disturbing to some people,” said Coleman.-Click Here For Full Story.

After Virginia's earthquake activist and people are starting to speculate this quake was brought on due to Hydraulic Fracturing. I do believe it is possible Hydraulic Fracturing could of caused quakes in Virginia. Since the halt of Fracturing in Arkansas they have had 50% less quakes. I am going to post a few videos below and articles which  show Fracturing could have caused earthquakes. What I have gathered from various sites it is not the actual drilling which causes the quakes, but the salt water that is poured into the ground to help with drilling. It is not just the U.S who also have had weird quakes due to drilling, but the UK also. Videos Below:

Fracking could have caused East Coast earthquake-"Explicitly, the United States Geological Survey has published a finding confirming that processes like fracking can be to blame for “natural” disasters. "Earthquakes induced by human activity have been documented in a few locations in the United States, Japan and Canada,” writes the USGS. “The cause was injection of fluids into deep wells for waste disposal and secondary recovery of oil and the use of reservoirs for water supplies."

'Fracking' Disposal Sites Suspended, Likely Linked To Arkansas Earthquakes-"The commission says there is likely a link between the wells and the earthquakes. There have been more than 800 quakes in the area in the past six months and a magnitude 4.7 quake – the strongest in Arkansas in 35 years – hit there Sunday.The high-pressure wells are used to dispose of waste water from natural gas drilling."

The War On Planned Parenthood! The War on Families!

I just received in the mail a letter from Planned Parenthood. Around the month of May I donated money and signed my name as one of the individuals who would not want to see Planned Parenthood's funding cut by congress. My name/signature with a bunch of other names was sent to Congress to express how important Federal Funding is for planned parenthood.
If you as an individual have any conceived notion that abortions are being Federally Funded, you have been misinformed! The money that is given via the government to Planned Parenthood goes straight into their programs which helps young adults and teens, not just women. Cutting of federal funding will effect low income families who have a hard time already getting birth control, prenatal care, cancer screenings and much more. I also want to add Planned Parenthood is involved with educating teens and adults on how to prevent pregnancy, how to prevent getting diseases, how to look for symptoms to cancer and other diseases. Planned Parenthood provides establishments where people effected by the same issues can sit and talk, like counseling. Abortion money is given privately through donations, no federal money goes towards abortion via Planned Parenthood.

According to my letter Congress has decided not to cut the funding to Planned Parenthood. However this does not stop each state from cutting funding to Planned Parenthood.

Indiana prohibited Planned Parenthood from participating in the state's Medicade program. Four days before Planned Parenthood's Private funding ran out in Indiana, a temporary junction from the federal court stopped the enforcement of the law which was preventing Planned Parenthood to participate in the Medicade program. To make matters worse Indiana also has a law which instructs abortion providers to say that a fetus can feel pain at or before 20 weeks, which is medically unproven.  In my honest opinion there should be no such law especially if there are no facts to uphold such a law.

Texas cut 7.3million in state family planning funding from its budget and banned Planned Parenthood from participating in its Medicade-funded Women's Health Program.  Texas seems to have a problem with not only women, but families in general. This budget cut has effected many low-income and poor families.

Wisconsin, North Carolina and Kansas all have withdrawn funding from local Planned Parenthood health centers!

New Jersey cut 7.5 million for family planning from its budget! This cut effects men and women, this cut effects low income families who rely on Planned Parenthood and other programs to help them with preventative care and other treatments!

Be sure to also contact the White House/President.Tell them you are against cutting of family programs. Let them know you do not approve of your states actions; make sure to let them know you won't vote for them next term if actions like these continue.Even if your not from the states above, make sure you let your reps know you do not approve the cutting of any funding which goes to help, women, children, men, low-income and poor families!

*Personal Note*
As most of us are well aware our country is 14trillion+ in debt. Our government is in talks about spending cuts. I will continue to say that Spending Cuts= Job cuts. I can promise you Non-Profits and important programs that are used by the elderly, disabled, low-income and poor will be the first to be cut. In order to stop these cuts we have to express/write/call and even protest against them. I agree to cutting spending on programs which are not needed and which will not effect human beings. For example The Wild Horse Management Program can afford to be cut also Subsidies to companies who make billions of dollars a year needs to end. There are other ways to cut spending, hurting people is not one of those ways nor should it be acceptable!

EarthQuake shakes the U.S

8/23/2011 2pm I went through my very first earthquake. This quake was strong enough to shake the entire house. Even though I never been through an earthquake before I knew at that moment we were having one. This quake was strong enough to be felt as far as Canada.Some buildings have been damaged.

The earthquake was centered in Mineral, Virginia, which is 92 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake was initially reported at 5.8 magnitude.
The quake had a very shallow depth of 0.6 miles.
The Pentagon and Capitol Building in Washington were evacuated, as were courthouses in New York City. The earthquake sent Washington office workers scurrying into the streets.
A Reuters witness said the quake was felt as far away as Toronto, Canada.


BBC-The quake hit at 1351 local time (1751 GMT) at a depth of 3.7 miles (6km), the US Geological Survey said.It said the quake was centred some 9 miles from the town of Mineral, in the state of Virginia. An initial measurement of 5.8 was later upgraded.
The quake was felt in Washington, where the Pentagon and US Capitol Building were evacuated, as well as in New York.

I also felt from before this was a ploy and that our reps were going to do what ever they truly wanted to do. Pres. Obama is the one who put Social Security and Medicare onto the chopping block. Why did he do that? Why? These programs are not the real reason why we are in debt. If Social Programs get cut it is the people who will suffer. I think cutting should start at government programs that are wasting money.
Look at the BLM and their wild horse management program. There is no reason 40,000 horses should be in permanent holding pens. These horses should be released back into the wild. We as tax payers pay 65Million a year to feed and house these horses. The price would be much cheaper if BLM actually did their original job. The original job was to gather the horses give them shots/birth control and re-release them into the wild. Now back then they would take the foals or horses they felt were adoptable and keep them in Temporary holding pens. However due to greed, BLM is keeping them in holding pens. I mention greed because BLM has "given" the land to oil drillers/Fracking businesses to use the land. These companies can't drill while wildlife is in the way, that wildlife includes horses. Horses have been killed by various means over this, from shooting-dragging-running them to death. Yet we the people do nothing about it we continue to allow this administration to run the people and the land into the ground. Soon we're not going to have any ground left.

So what is the real solution to all this? 
I have 0 economic training so personally I do not know the solution. I can however offer some common sense.
Tax cuts must end. We've had tax cuts since 2001. Since 2003 we have seen a decrease in jobs an increase in debt and layoffs.( Pres. Obama continued the bush tax cuts when he was elected)

Tax raises must be given to the 200+ companies who gave raises to Ceos last year while laying people off. If they can afford to give 10million dollar raises they can afford more taxes.

Pay Cuts. Heaven for bid we mention pay cutting the Presidents or Congressmen or Senator's pay.They take plenty of money from lobbyist they're not hurting for money. So time for them to get some form of pay cut. Everyone else who has had a job, has had pay cuts.

Spending cuts must only be done on programs that are NOT needed, or that can AFFORD to be cut. Wild Horse Program can afford to be cut, that is one program that would not effect the American People and would be good for the horses cause they just might be able to see their homes again.  It has been proven that the states with the most spending cuts have the most job losses. If you cut needed programs you will not only hurt the employees of the cut program, but also the people who rely on that program.

Lobbyist need to be regulated or stopped. Corporations should be forbidden to give money so a Representative votes in their favor or opposes a bill. For example John Cornyn a Republican from Texas was paid $259,380 to oppose the Prevention Of Equine Cruelty Act. He was paid 0 to approve the act. To view source and who got what click here. I am sure if the money was switched around he may of voted for the act to pass.In 2009 The Equine Cruelty act didn't pass because over $2,404,887 was given to vote no on the bill. Only $219,305 was given to approve the bill. The equine cruelty act was made to protect domestic and wild horses. Votes aren't made due to facts anymore. As long as there are lobbyist, votes are made on the amount of money given.


How to get bills/acts passed?
This may be going a little off subject. However what people must do is look at the corporations who oppose the bill and protest at that corporation. Writing and calling you politician is great, but the Corporation is the one who gives the money that sways the politician.  Time for people to start protesting or boycotting businesses that oppose bills, or who promote cuts on programs that are needed. The business would be forced to change its opposition if it started to lose money due to its political views. Politicians aren't going to bite back the hand that feeds it, so we just have to change the way the feed is given.

This is just horrible. I believe Obama is a republican in sheep's clothing or he just sucks as a president. I am sorry, but why is tax cuts, medicare cuts, SS cuts even on the table, or even being spoken? Why is the middle class/poor having to solely carry this country when obviously we can't? Also most americans want Corporations to pay their fair share in taxes. If this is what the people want why are Representatives not listening to the people? WE are the ones who control congress, WE are the ones who PAY the president to do his job, WE are the ones who elected these people into office. WE the people need to right now start acting. WE need to call and write to our representatives and tell them to start listening to the People not the Corporations. Medicare and Social Security is not the reason we are in debt! Tax Cuts are one of the main reasons we are in debt! I have written, I have called, but to many of you are sitting back watching the TV, listening to the radio, and not doing a damn thing about this. Did you vote on election day because if you did then that must mean you care about the future of America. If you care about the future then you must start speaking out, you must start writing and calling your representatives and let them know how you feel. Not a single American that I know is happy with this administration and the current Representative in office. So stop reading this comment and call/write your representatives and president Now!

Usually when I post a blog I put what you can do to prevent actions or to take actions at the bottom. Today I am going to switch that around for this particular issue. Obama has put the option out there to cut Medicare and SS. I personally will not vote for Obama in 2012 if SS and Medicare get cut.

Below I am going to post a recent video of a horse being hit by the helicopter. No animal should be touched by the chopper. This horse is really exhausted, and this pilot is inhumanely treating the horse.

Prisoners used for cheap labor and taking away jobs!

ALEC known as American Legislative Exchange Council is is exploiting private prison labor for profit.
"Prison labor has already started to undercut the business of corporations that don’t use it. In Florida, PRIDE has become one of the largest printing corporations in the state, its cheap labor having a significant impact upon smaller local printers. This scenario is playing out in states across the country. In addition to Florida's forty-one prison industries, California alone has sixty. Another 100 or so are scattered throughout other states. What's more, several states are looking to replace public sector workers with prison labor. In Wisconsin Governor Walker’s recent assault on collective bargaining opened the door to the use of prisoners in public sector jobs in Racine, where inmates are now doing landscaping, painting, and other maintenance work. According to the Capitol Times, “inmates are not paid for their work, but receive time off their sentences.” The same is occurring in Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Florida and Georgia, all states with GOP Assembly majorities and Republican governors. Much of ALEC’s proposed labor legislation, implemented state by state is allowing replacement of public workers with prisoners.

I found this article and the comments made to this article very interesting.
My opinion is the U.S needs to stop these pointless wars. The U.S is in Afghanistan to try and put an end to the Taliban  and turn Afghanistan into a Democratic State. I don't believe the Taliban will ever be defeated. I say this because we have gangs/mobs here in the U.S still in operation who still commit crimes. If we can't control/defeat the gangs and mobs here in the U.S what makes our gov believe we can truly help Afghanistan?

Also our government needs to stop trying to police the world, we economically are in no condition to save other countries. We have a lot of jobless here in the U.S, a lot of homeless and a lot of people in poverty. We even have a place known as Tent City. What does this say about our country? If we have these conditions still how can we eliminate those conditions in other countries? The truth is we can't.

Now I do think if a country asks for our help, then we should do our best to help that country. War solves nothing, if anything it makes situations worse.

Endangered Przewalski's horses are being poached for meat!

Przewelski's horse's were moved specifically to Mongolia to be protected from poachers. it now appears that no matter where the species is moved humans are determined to make them extinct. I am going to copy this article in its full below.

The horses were released to "increase the biodiversity of the exclusion zone"

A herd of Critically Endangered wild Przewalski's horses in the Chernobyl exclusion zone is under threat from poachers, say scientists.Researchers in Ukraine say that the population may be in decline because poachers have been removing the animals faster than they are breeding.Thirty-one horses were taken from a Przewalski's horse reserve and from a local zoo.They were released into the zone in 1998 and 1999.
Scientists from the state-run SSSIE Ecocentre in Chernobyl say the horses were introduced to "enrich the biodiversity" of the exclusion zone surrounding Chernobyl nuclear power station's damaged nuclear reactor.
The zone was evacuated in 1986 after reactor number four exploded. Professor Tim Mousseau, a biologist from the University of South Carolina who visits the zone to work at least twice a year, says that the herd he has spotted has been "getting smaller" in recent years.

"Many people in this part of Ukraine are very poor," he told BBC Nature on a recent trip to the exclusion zone.

"So access to a readily available supply of horsemeat is tempting for people."

But Sergiy Paskevych, a researcher from the National Academy of Science in Ukraine and the author of a website dedicated to ecology and wildlife in the exclusion zone, told BBC Nature that poachers probably travelled long distances to the exclusion zone and took the carcasses away to be sold. Mr Paskevych explained that the most recent data on the horses suggested that there were 30-40 individuals in the zone. This represents a severe decline in their numbers from a maximum of 65 animals in 2003.

"It is difficult to say what [factors] affect the lives of these animals," he said.
"Maybe it's the wolves - there are a lot of its in the exclusion zone - or maybe it's disease.
"Of course, the anthropogenic factor [of hunting] cannot be excluded."
Igor Chizhevsky, a biologist from Chernobyl's Ecocentre who studies the zone's wildlife, said that poaching could be affecting the wild horse population there.
Mr Chizhevsky confirmed that Ukrainian researchers had found several dead horses that had been shot by poachers. He added that it was difficult to determine how many horses were now left.
"For three years, no one has counted the population," he told BBC Nature.
"So we don't know."
Mr Paskevych suggested that the zone should become a reserve "with a research centre for the study of nature and radioecological consequents of nuclear disaster".
"But today, the exclusion zone is not a reserve, and there are almost no scientists [with the] knowledge and ability to explore the area," he said.
"In the current situation... the future of Przewalski's horses is very vague."

Debt Deal Made

Due to the debt deal expect to see increases on parking fees, school tuition, traffic tickets, fines, beach tags, car registration etc. With no tax raises and more cuts, the money has to come from somewhere. Taxes may not raise, but other things will.Also remember that spending cuts are to be made.It is proven states with the most spending cuts have the most job losses! Be assured cuts will be made on programs people rely on, this in turn will increase the number of homeless and jobless. Spending cuts do mean job cuts.

My Opinion: Ohh come on! This is so obviously about greed. This governor is funded via oil corporations so OF COURSE he's going to try and stop the lawsuit. It's all about the money. The Governor may of been pressured into intervening. Lobbyist control our government, Money controls the gov, not the people and certainly not facts.

Wild Horses Are (Again) Losing Their Home On The Range - The Atlantic

Corruption at its finest. While debt debates continue our Wild American horses continue to get abused.
Why is it that Wild horses have been removed from the range at large numbers and kept in Permanent holding pens? Why do the horses who are stallions continue to be castrated even though the mares are given PVP?( birth control).

This whole situation isn't about the horses. In reality it is about using the land for what our government feels is more important. Like cattle and Oil. In the mind of the BLM and our government, horses take up space and they don't make revenue. However this mind set is incorrect. The "welfare" cattle, ( cattle owned by private ranchers who are allowed to graze on Public Lands) out number the wild horses greatly on the range. It has been documented that cattle off balance the range. They de-root the grass, horses don't pull the grass out when they graze. Obviously Fracking and oil drilling and pipeline placing ruins the land and animal eco systems.

The BLM's job is to protect wild horses. In fact it is the LAW for BLM to protects the wild horses. However the BLM has been gathering, killing and keeping the wild horses. While gathering wild horses they have killed them in various ways from shooting, running them to death, gathering them in extreme weather and euthanizing them. Horses have died in holding pens due to diseases or abuse. These actions by our government must be stopped. The BLM is breaking the law.

If someone wanted to look at this financially. It would be cheaper if the american public didn't have to pay 65Mil a year for 40K wild horses in holding pens. In fact there is no real substantial evidence that suggest 40K horses should be held in pens.

In Japan and other countries they use their wild horses as a tourism attraction. I do not understand why our government won't do the same. Our government would profit off of using Wild Horses as an attraction, rather then treating them as pests.
