My Opinion: Ohh come on! This is so obviously about greed. This governor is funded via oil corporations so OF COURSE he's going to try and stop the lawsuit. It's all about the money. The Governor may of been pressured into intervening. Lobbyist control our government, Money controls the gov, not the people and certainly not facts.

Wild Horses Are (Again) Losing Their Home On The Range - The Atlantic
Corruption at its finest. While debt debates continue our Wild American horses continue to get abused.
Why is it that Wild horses have been removed from the range at large numbers and kept in Permanent holding pens? Why do the horses who are stallions continue to be castrated even though the mares are given PVP?( birth control).
This whole situation isn't about the horses. In reality it is about using the land for what our government feels is more important. Like cattle and Oil. In the mind of the BLM and our government, horses take up space and they don't make revenue. However this mind set is incorrect. The "welfare" cattle, ( cattle owned by private ranchers who are allowed to graze on Public Lands) out number the wild horses greatly on the range. It has been documented that cattle off balance the range. They de-root the grass, horses don't pull the grass out when they graze. Obviously Fracking and oil drilling and pipeline placing ruins the land and animal eco systems.
The BLM's job is to protect wild horses. In fact it is the LAW for BLM to protects the wild horses. However the BLM has been gathering, killing and keeping the wild horses. While gathering wild horses they have killed them in various ways from shooting, running them to death, gathering them in extreme weather and euthanizing them. Horses have died in holding pens due to diseases or abuse. These actions by our government must be stopped. The BLM is breaking the law.
If someone wanted to look at this financially. It would be cheaper if the american public didn't have to pay 65Mil a year for 40K wild horses in holding pens. In fact there is no real substantial evidence that suggest 40K horses should be held in pens.
In Japan and other countries they use their wild horses as a tourism attraction. I do not understand why our government won't do the same. Our government would profit off of using Wild Horses as an attraction, rather then treating them as pests.
